Another Twin Turbo Soarer project.

I got this as a spare parts car as it was pretty sad and had a broken rear screen, so I stripped it out and got ready to pull the motor and gearbox to put in my 1989 supercharged Toyota crown. The problem was that the more I took the Soarer apart the more I could see what a great car it was under the dirt, dents and faded paint. So I had one of my famous changes of mind and have started to rebuild the Soarer.

I had pretty well stripped it but had left it running and able to be driven, so at least I don't have to do major mechanical work.
It has Pedders coil-overs with adjustable suspension height and damping rate, a full body kit, rear spoiler, 18" Viper alloy/chrome wheels, plus excellent mechanicals.

I have done a lot of work already. It came without keys so I have re-keyed all the locks to take the same key as my other Soarer (now I only have to carry one key), I've stripped it out further and removed the carpet for cleaning, as well as reconditioning the digital dash. I've knocked out a heap of dents, fixed various broken trims, and sourced a heap of missing parts.

As I test fit all the parts I am fixing any faults I encounter as well as adding new components, such as an alarm, 7" Android tab with GPS, MP3/SD Stereo, USB power outputs, and any other gadgets I fancy.

Lots more to go.

Interior as it was. Note dent on rear Quarter.   Steering lock in bits.
Now re-keyed, not an easy job! Interior stripped out. Dent mostly repaired. Lights reconditioned. Carpet cleaned. More bits cleaned and ready to fit.
Broken vents. Test fit rear bumper and light. Rear now complete. Front end test fitted. Console painted. Dash painted, new wheel fitted.
Carpet refitted, alarm in and hidden. Parcel shelf, baby seat mounts, and new speakers in. New 3 way speakers in original speaker boxes. Most interior test fitted, faulty seats repaired. Modifying aftermarket gear shift on my lathe. Test fitting new shifter.
Rear window in. Repairing fibreglass front. Ashtray removed, power outlet hidden in console. 7"tablet holder, note relocated overdrive switch. 7" tablet in place and hooked into power and stereo. New fuel door, side skirt fitted.

Rear skirt in place. Looks good after a wash, rear wheel is the non-matching spare. How it looks with matching wheels, all lights are removed for bodywork and painting. Wrecking a write off Soarer for spares for our other cars. Not much left now, all bits are stored in boxes or in our shed.

After all this the car will mostly be dismantled again to allow me to paint and detail the seats, and repair and paint the body.

And just for fun I decided to fit cloth seats and detail the interior in black and silver.
