My Electric Bike.
Because of ongoing health problems I am no longer able to
pedal a bicycle for any distance, and this meant that my highly expensive alloy
ATB was just sitting around collecting dust.
I looked at buying a disabled scooter (but just can't bear to be seen on one),
then I looked at an electric tricycle (but I'm too young for that and still have
my balance).
In the end I decided to convert my mountain bike to
electric assist using parts purchased on eBay, this has worked out very cheap
and very effective.
I have been careful to make the conversion reversible without damage to my bike
just in case the doctors find a miracle cure for me.
